With our photovoltaic systems, we produce a significant share of our electricity directly on site – efficiently, sustainably and with a focus on the future.
The two photovoltaic systems on the flat roofs produce an average of 100,000 kWh of solar power every year. This equates to the consumption of about 55 households and saves around 50 tonnes of CO2 per annum.
A particular milestone was the realisation of our photovoltaic façade system at the high-rack warehouse in 2026. With a PV area of 2,063 m², it is among the top three façade photovoltaic units in Switzerland and is the largest façade unit within the Coop Group. The installation produces about 335,000 kWh of electricity a year, meeting the demand from around 108 Swiss households and enabling about 5,500 complete charging cycles for electric cars.
